Chernihiv and Kyiv regions

Briefly about the main thing
The project was implemented by the CSO “Tse - Nasha Sprava!” with the support of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC). Its goal was to provide intersectoral emergency assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and victims of the war in Ukraine, as well as to increase the institutional capacity of the organization.
The activities focused on delivering food kits to 21 communities in Chernihiv and Kyiv regions that were affected by hostilities or hosted IDPs. Each kit contained flour, wheat groats, oil, canned fish, pasta, sugar, condensed milk, black tea, and canned stewed meat. A total of 3,396 unique beneficiaries were reached, with the largest numbers in Makariv (564), Varvynska AH (566), Novoselyivka (299), Sedniv and Snovsk (283 each).
The selection of locations was based on beneficiaries’ requests via social media and cooperation with local governments, who provided data on needs, availability of assistance, and dates of last support. The composition of the kits was developed based on surveys of beneficiaries, taking into account their wishes. Minor changes in the project concerned only the territorial coverage due to the delay between application submission and receipt of the grant (almost 3 months), but the prices of goods were kept down thanks to efficient procurement. Information about the project was disseminated via social media of CSO and local governments, and feedback was collected through interviews during distribution and phone calls.
Project achievements
The project was successfully completed. Food kits were distributed to 3,396 unique beneficiaries, which meets the initial goals. Short-term impact: saving on the monthly budget of families and ensuring basic nutrition. Long-term impact: a sense of care and confidence in support, especially for women, men, children and vulnerable groups. CSO members attended institutional capacity-building events, gaining knowledge for future work.
