On 4 and 7 September 2026, the team of Civil Society Organization “TSE – NASHA SPRAVA!” distributed hygiene kits to residents of the Cherkaska community in Kramatorsk District, Donetsk Region.

Over the two days, 270 kits containing items for personal hygiene, clothing care, and maintaining cleanliness in the home were distributed.

For many families, purchasing such items can place an additional strain on the household budget. The distributed kits will help people meet some of their daily needs and use their own funds for food, medicine, utility bills, and other essential expenses.

Distribution of Assistance in the Community

The assistance was provided in two stages.

On 4 September, 156 hygiene kits were distributed to residents of the Cherkaska community.

On 7 September, the team continued the distribution in Maidan, Prylisne, Oleksandrivka, and Novoselivka. Residents of these settlements received another 114 kits.

A total of 270 kits were distributed. Each kit contained items for personal care and maintaining proper household conditions.

Contents of the Hygiene Kit

Each kit contains 17 items:

• toothbrush — 1;

• toothpaste — 1;

• bar soap — 2 bars;

• shampoo — 1 bottle;

• laundry detergent — 1 package;

• dishwashing liquid — 1 bottle;

• dishwashing sponge — 1;

• universal shaving kit with disposable razors and shaving cream — 1 kit;

• wet wipes — 1 package;

• sanitary pads — 30;

• body cream — 1 package;

• toilet paper — 2 rolls;

• deodorant — 1;

• general-purpose disinfectant cleaner — 1 bottle;

• information leaflet — 1;

• packing box — 1;

• durable reusable bag — 1.

The packing box and reusable bag make the kit convenient to receive, carry, and use for storing the items afterwards.

Personal Care Items

A significant portion of the kit is intended for daily personal hygiene. The toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, wet wipes, deodorant, and body cream help people care for themselves regularly.

The kit also includes a universal shaving kit and sanitary pads. These essential items help meet the basic needs of women and men.

Access to essential personal care items has a direct impact on health, well-being, and a person’s sense of dignity.

Keeping the Home Clean

A separate part of the kit consists of household supplies: laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid and a sponge, as well as a general-purpose disinfectant cleaner.

These items will help recipients care for their clothing, dishes, and living spaces. Keeping the home clean is important for the health of the entire family, especially when children, older people, or people requiring additional care live together.

The information leaflet included in each kit complements the practical assistance with useful information.

More Than Household Supplies

A hygiene kit is more than a list of items. It gives people the means to care for themselves regularly, keep their homes clean, and meet their families’ basic needs.

For someone going through a difficult period, such assistance means that some daily concerns have already been eased. There is no need to choose between buying shampoo, laundry detergent, or another essential item—everything most important has already been assembled in one kit.

Behind each of the 270 kits distributed is an individual or family with their own needs and circumstances. That is why it is important for assistance to be not only timely, but also practical and useful in everyday life.

Support People Can Feel

Care often takes the form of simple things: being able to use a clean towel, wash clothes, wash dishes, or have essential personal hygiene items close at hand.

The distributed kits will help residents of the Cherkaska community maintain health, cleanliness, and comfort in their homes. At the same time, this support gives people the important reassurance that they are not facing their daily difficulties alone.
