An Opportunity to Restore Household Livelihoods

The programme supports households facing difficult circumstances because of the war.

Participants include families who were forced to leave their homes, as well as large families

requiring additional support.

The distributed kits are more than humanitarian assistance: they are practical tools for restoring livelihoods. They help families grow food for their own consumption, reduce daily expenses, and gradually create additional sources of income.

Through the programme, participants can:

  • reduce their dependence on humanitarian assistance;

  • restore or start their own household livelihood activities;

  • improve their families’ food security;

  • lay the foundation for earning additional income.

"Poultry” Kits Received by 28 Families

Each family received a fully equipped kit containing everything needed to raise and keep chickens:

  • 25 chickens;

  • a one-year supply of feed;

  • lighting;

  • vitamins and feed supplements;

  • equipment and materials for keeping poultry;

  • delivery of the kit.

This support enables families to produce food for their own consumption and, over time, expand their household activities and create an additional source of income.

“Greenhouse” Kits Received by 24 Families

This form of assistance enables families to grow vegetables for their own needs and gradually develop their household livelihoods.

Each kit included:

  • a greenhouse measuring 3 × 8 metres;

  • a drip irrigation system;

  • fertilisers and seedlings;

  • the necessary tools;

  • installation and delivery.

Families received ready-to-use kits, allowing them to begin growing agricultural produce immediately.

Support That Restores Confidence

Behind every kit distributed is the story of a family that, despite difficult circumstances, continues to work, care for loved ones, and rebuild its life.

The ability to meet part of their families’ needs through their own efforts restores people’s sense of self-reliance and confidence in the future. At the same time, the development of household livelihoods strengthens the entire community, makes it more resilient, and helps it gradually overcome the consequences of the war.
